Maya's Home Page This page is dedicated to FireWorks Restaurant's spectacular wood fired earthen oven, named Maya after the Hindu god of creation. Maya was built by local sculptor and author Kiko Denzer, founder of Hand Print Press. Maya brings forth the finest grilled steak, lamb chops, chicken, seafood and pizzas. Maya was built by the hands and feet of many friends, volunteers and workers, guided by the artistry and vision of local sculptor Kiko Denzer, author of the book "Build Your Own Earth Oven." The pictures below portray the oven construction from foundation to finish plaster. Maya is the largest earthen oven we know of, and performs beyond our expectations.
